The progresses of the SecondHands have been reported in the BBC News article: The robot assistant that can guess what you want.

A BBC journalist interviewed one of Ocado maintenance technicians (in picture) asking for a user opinion on the capabilities of the ARMAR-6 as a robotic maintenance assistant and how it can practically help him in his daily duties.

The article describes briefly the SecondHands system and highlights the challenges that the robot has to face when working together with human technicians. It also compares the ARMAR-6 to other collaborative robots developed earlier in time.

The article is a good summary of the SecondHands project’s achievements as the project reached its end on 29th of April.
